Karen Engler is an independent Medicare broker serving Colorado as well as
multiple states. She represents multiple health insurance carriers including Aetna,
Devoted, Humana and United Healthcare. She assists clients with Medicare
Advantage, Medicare Supplement (Medi-gap) and Prescription Drug Plans.
Karen loves meeting with seniors and helping them navigate the complex world of
Medicare. After getting to know them, and their health concerns she helps them
find the best possible Medicare plan tailored specifically for their individual needs.
Her relationship doesn’t end there, she continues to provide invaluable assistance
to her clients with any problems or concerns that may arise. Karen works very
hard to give everyone the very best customer service.

Karen is a Colorado native who grew up in Grand Junction on the western slope of
Colorado. She is married to Mike Engler, they have 2 children, son Michael and
daughter Laura as well as 5 grandchildren, Harrison, Fisher, Graham, Patrick and
Cooper. Karen enjoys spending time with family, hiking, gardening and reading.

I’m a born and raised California girl. I came to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado, and decided to call Colorado officially “home,” ever since. My background is in communication and people are my true passion. I was introduced to the Medicare world by a good friend, I fell in love with the industry and the rest is history. Over 14 years later, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of seniors, educating and helping them find a solid insurance plan to fit their needs, worked with countless physicians, community partners and senior communities, and loved every minute. I am licensed in over 35 states to expand the knowledge and service to as many seniors as I can possibly help.

I love it when that “light bulb” goes on when working with a client, as they connect the dots of Medicare and are empowered to make their health plan decision. I keep in touch with many of my clients on a personal level and love watching their families grow with grandchildren and being their advocate when life happens or changes with their health.

I decided to branch off from a large carrier to become a broker and start my own agency in 2019 and connected deeply with the Bridlewood morals, values, and philosophy when it comes to the client-focused approach and personal touch. It has been one of the best career decisions and I love the relationships and possibilities it has provided. I am so grateful to get to do what I do, and love what I do every single day.

I married my husband Brian in 2015 we have 2 little boys, Braxton (4) and Brooks (2). They keep me on my toes and will always be my “why” for creating a legacy of significance. They bring so much joy and love and remind me what life is truly about. We love to travel, play golf and give back to our community as much as possible.

Steve Cox is a licensed Insurance Broker/Agent in Colorado and Arizona. After 7 years working with only UnitedHealthCare, Steve moved to Bridlewood Insurance Services which allows him to offer products to his clients from all the insurance companies, rather than just one. He came to Bridlewood after receiving a recruiting call from the CEO, Jeff Wetzel. Steve asked around, and after multiple conversations with prior co-workers who had moved to Bridlewood, he realized that they have a fantastic reputation for agent support and customer service.

Eric currently resides in Pueblo, CO. He went to Southwestern HS in Flint Michigan and earned his B.A. in Psychology at Argosy University. Eric joined the US army in 1993, got his insurance license after he left the military. Eric loves his job because he loves helping people.

As an agent, Eric can walk you through what Medicare is, the different parts of Medicare, and what your options are for supplemental insurance to take care of costs that Medicare doesn’t cover. By going through the items that are important to you – who are your doctors, do you have specific health concerns you are dealing with, what prescription medications you are taking, do you travel or live in different areas of the state or country, etc. – Eric can help educate you on all the various plans that are available so that you can confidently make the choice of the most appropriate plan to meet your needs.

Mike has been a Medicare Insurance Broker with Bridlewood Insurance Services since 2019, representing companies like United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana and Devoted in the following states Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and Georgia. Medicare is all he does, specializing in Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap) and Prescription Drug Coverage.  His focus in this business is assisting seniors with their Medicare coverage, finding the plan that suits their needs the best, while offering them amazing coverage.

Mike grew up in the southern area of the Denver Metro area and was educated at Colorado Mesa University, currently residing in Castle Rock, CO. He and his wife Karen have been married for over 40 years and are partners in this business. They have two grown children – Michael Jr. and Laura – and between the two families they have 5 grandsons.  Mike spent the first 20 years of his career in the frozen food business, leading the sales process for a
number of Fortune 500 companies and learned the valuable skill of “Listening”.  He firmly believes you cannot understand a beneficiary’s needs if you are not listening to them.

Sara is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance specialist.  She has worked for a major insurance carrier as an internal Sales Agent, representing that carrier on the front line, educating people about the A, B, C and D of Medicare and their options for that carriers supplemental insurance plans.  She utilizes tools to determine if they qualify for LIS/Medicaid, and if they do, she can assist them in enrolling and then help them with specific Medicare plans designed for their special needs.

After realizing that she may be shortchanging some clients who might be better served with another insurance company’s plan, Sara decided to become an Independent Agent/Broker, representing all the major insurance companies in her area.  Her decision to make this shift brought her to Bridlewood Insurance, an insurance agency that is well known for their client and agent support, integrity in their business dealings, and for always putting the client’s needs and expectations first.  She now helps her clients by educating them and making recommendations based on their medications, preferred physicians, and choice of Medical Group and Hospital. By thoroughly completing a “Needs Assessment”, she helps guide each client to the most appropriate plan for them based on their specific needs.  She really enjoys working with retirees and the disabled community, which require certain criteria be met.  She has all the necessary characteristics to work well with seniors, including patience, broad product knowledge and the desire to help.  Sara communicates options to her clients, to dispell all the confusion they may have by being inundated with stacks of sales pieces from many carriers, agents and agencies.  One of her favorite parts of her job is knowing that her clients will be taken care of, and knowing that she will continue to be involved with them for years to come.

Sara is a native of Colorado, being born in Aurora, but now residing in Colorado Springs.  Sara in currently single and has a spunky little terrier/chihuahua mix named Harley.  Her favorite pastimes include doing anything outdoors!  From hiking to canoeing, she just feels that activity is extremely important.  When she has downtime, she enjoys reading, writing  and listening to many different genres of music.

Craig attended the University of Colorado, where he received his BA in Political Science.  He has worked with Farmer’s Insurance for more than 15 years, and started his own agency, the Kirscht Insurance Agency, about 4 years ago.  Craig decided to work with Bridlewood Insurance, as he liked the attitude that came with Bridlewood and the people surrounding it.   He loves helping people and being a resource for them.  He loves being able to help people understand all their Medicare insurance plan options, educating his clients on all plans and clearing up their confusion and answering their questions, and helping them enroll in the plan that’s right for them. He also believes that integrity and dedication go a long way in the insurance business. Craig says that in all his years in the service industry, he prides himself on always going the extra mile for his clients. He plans on continuing that goal and philosophy.

Craig grew up in several different cities and states from California to Minnesota (YES! he is a die hard Vikings fan!)  He has lived in Colorado since he was 10 and now resides in Thornton for the past 23 years. He enjoys golfing and the beauty of Colorado, but being in Puerto Vallarta every once in a while is also great.  Craig has been married to his wife, Melody, for 23 years now.

Faye was born in Fort Collins, Colorado. She has lived in Denver for over 39 years now and currently resides in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. After one of Faye’s colleagues made the decision to move over to Bridlewood and have her own team in Denver Colorado, Faye wanted to offer more for her clients and decided to make the switch over to Bridlewood as well.

Faye’s favorite part of her job is to be able to help with Medicare Insurance at a reasonable cost. She likes the idea of being able to educate your clients on the best plan possible for them as well as giving them many choices that best fit their health insurance needs. Faye really enjoys meeting her clients as well as being a great resource of information for each and every one of them. She has helped over 1000 clients and gets many referrals from them as well.

Faye and her husband, Don are both agents at Bridlewood. They have been married for 28 years and she has one son, Andrew. They love to be outdoors and spend as much time as they can outside and her goal is to travel more in the future.

Don has been a Senior Medicare Agent, serving Colorado since 2010.  He offers his clients Medicare Supplement, Advantage and Prescription Drug plans with many major carriers.  After being a captive agent to one company for more than 9 years, he and his wife decided to break out and become Insurance Brokers, offering the products of many different insurance companies.  They joined Bridlewood 3 years ago, and have never looked back.  His values are the same as Bridlewood’s, and he takes great pleasure in helping people understand that his philosophy is to “always do the right thing for the customer, each and every time”.

Born in Texas and raised in California, Don moved to Colorado in 1978.  He spent 6 years in the US Army Reserves as a medic.  Don is married to the most wonderful woman he has every know, Faye.  They have one daughter and two grandchildren (from a previous marriage) and his stepson is a doctor in his second year of residency.  When he’s not working, Don loves to fly fish and tie flies.  He is also looking forward to doing some traveling, now that things have started to normalize after Covid.

Yolanda has an AAS in Accounting and has previously worked in the field, and then decided to take a break due to becoming a stay at home mom. She then returned to work but in a completely different arena, the food industry. Her passion is the baking and pastry side and she has enjoyed this field for the last 6 years.

A friend who is currently in Medicare Insurance had reached out to Yolanda about getting into the Medicare business, and she realized what a great opportunity she would have serving the underserved Spanish speaking community.

Yolanda was born in Mexico, raised in Arizona and has been living in Colorado since 2003.  She has been married to Hugo Ochoa for 19 yrs, and they have 2 children – a 12 yr old and 13 yr old, and 1 dog named Lyla.  In her spare time, she loves traveling, hiking, and baking.
