Chris is originally from Vietnam, and now resides in San Diego. He has worked with Life, Health and Accident insurance, and is specializing in Medicare.  He received a recruiting letter from Bridlewood insurance, and after meeting with the President, Jeff Wetzel, and his agent manager, Bill Murray, Chris decided to try this new adventure.  He enjoys the challenge of trying something new, and at the same time he is helping seniors with a very important decision they have to make.

Chris offers Medicare Advantage plan, Prescription Drug plans, Supplement plans and Dual/Chronic Special Needs plans. Dual plans are designed for those seniors who have both Medicare and Medicaid. Chris loves educating people on their Medicare options.

Chris is single now and has two children, one who is attending UCLA and the other is in 4th grade. They have four canaries, who are excellent songbirds.  In his spare time, Chris enjoys watching movies, music, travel, riding motorcycles and fishing.

Mr. Larry Acker was born in Buffalo New York, and is now living in Carlsbad, CA by the ocean with his spouse Rose Mary. They have been married for 44 years and have three sons, two daughters, six grandchildren and a cat named Midnight. In his free time, Larry loves to got to the gym, bike Race, is in a band of brothers and even has Saturday morning bible study. He is an American and respects the flag and those who defend it. Larry attended Dale Carneige college in New York City where he took courses towards associates in management training. He has 43 years of experience in a top sales branch in Buffalo New York where he was the top producer in New York State.

Larry has also Hired and trained Medicare agents for 20 years. Many of them are currently sales managers and branch owners. After meeting Jeff, Larry states that he knew Jeff is consumer conscientious, honest and a great leader, so from then on he decided to work with him. Larry also states that “In the five years that I have been with Bridlewood, Jeff has never disappointed me.”

Larry loves working with people. He likes to do for his client’s what no other salesman would! He likes to provide great service and accessibility for his clients. Larry’s philosophy he says is Jeff’s cliché “The first one to the table wins.”

James has a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University. After a long career, James decided to focus on selling Medicare. His specialties are Medicare Supplement and Advantage plans, as well as Prescription Drug plans. He came to work for Bridlewood Insurance because of their excellence among their peers as an organization that helps their agents learn and train to be the best in their field. He also really likes their great management team that is always supportive and very accessible. James loves helping new people, especially seniors that are new to Medicare and maybe feeling overwhelmed. He enjoys educating them and assisting them in finding the best coverage that meets all their requirements and needs.

James was born and raised in California, and lived in quite a number of Southern California cities before settling in San Diego. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married for over 30 years and have two daughters, Katie (26) and Megan (24). Katie is a civilian, working with the Navy, training dolphins.  Megan is a nurse in Arizona. Steve’s favorite pastimes are spending time with his wife and daughters, usually doing outside activities. They enjoy any and all kinds of musical concerts, and short “staycations” to local towns and parks.

Prior to becoming a licensed health insurance broker specializing in Medicare, Stewart built his career as a marketing and advertising professional with over 20 years of experience. He earned his BA in Communications Design from California State University, Chico, and has successfully built and managed his own companies, such as Nature’s Agave and Thinkbig Marketing. However, his life took a turn when he was diagnosed with cancer five years ago. From then on, he dedicated his time and energy to overcoming the illness and navigating the complex healthcare system, including managing confusing and complicated insurance policies.

Through this experience, Stewart realized the need to simplify Medicare for seniors and help them to understand the solutions available to them at little or no cost. This led him to focus on Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans, aiming to provide clarity and guidance to seniors who rely on the program for their healthcare coverage.

After meeting with the Bridlewood team, Stewart was convinced this was the right agency for him. His passion for connecting with seniors, particularly those who are not tech-savvy, and finding plans that meet their medical and financial needs, has led to an enriching and meaningful career. As an approachable and knowledgeable agent, he aims to demystify Medicare plans and help seniors make informed decisions about their options for healthcare coverage.

Originally from Danville in Northern California, Stewart moved to Hermosa Beach after college, where he worked at Paramount Pictures Studio and met his wife, Julia. They have been married for 29 years and are now empty nesters with two adult children and Ziggy, his beloved husky/shepherd dog. In his free time, Stewart enjoys traveling, golfing, fishing, and hiking.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.  She is a licensed insurance agent, and has recently decided to focus on Medicare sales.  She specializes in Medicare Supplement, Advantage and Prescription Drug plans.  She decided to work with Bridlewood insurance based on their strong support system for their agents, providing them all the tools necessary to be successful.  She enjoys being able to help others and provide them access to better insurance to handle their health needs and to improve their quality of life.

Originally from a small town in Illinois, Jennifer has resided in California for about 20 years.  She has two energetic children, Aviana (11) and Lily (9), and a 14 year old schnoodle named Bailey and a hamster named Cheerio.  Jennifer loves spending time with her family, hiking and Tae Kwon Do.

Maureen McKenna aka Mo has over 30 years in the health insurance business. Mo transitioned with ease into Medicare from a career working with employer groups. She is a licensed independent agent in CA and many other states. By being independent she has no allegiance to any one insurance company. This is an advantage when you are ready to make your decision. You will know all your options and understand your choices with unbiased recommendations. Mo began working for Bridlewood part-time in 2015 and transitioned into full-time in 2019. She is laser focused on Medicare only so she can bring you value, understanding, and expertise.

Mo recognized the growing challenge that seniors experience understanding the Medicare maze and the difficulty making the right choices and decisions. Mo is passionate, caring and loves helping guide individuals through piles of material and filter through all the misinformation. Maureen loves meeting new clients and hear about their family and their needs they are facing and working together to have the best outcome.

Born and raised in CA Mo has lived in Sunny San Diego for over 35 years. She grew up in the SF Bay Area and relocated to San Diego after graduating from college. Once she settled here, she knew it was where she wanted to live her life, fulfill her career aspirations, and raise her family. Mo has 2 children in the healthcare field located here in SD and DC. Maureen is a Graduate of CSU, Chico with a BA in Economics and Marketing. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, golfing, gardening, and cooking, and most favorite passion is “live music”.

Carmen loves working with people in San Diego who are in need of her services, and Medicare seemed like the perfect fit.

She attended college with a major in accounting.  She has also been a legal secretary, and in 1996 became a licensed Life Insurance, and more recently a licensed Medicare Agent.  Carmen also works as a Family Service Counselor at a local Funeral Home, assisting families with making final arrangements for their loved one. She treats her clients the way she would like to be treated, with patience, respect and compassion.  Carmen also likes to empower her clients with knowledge, so that they can confidently make an informed decision about their healthcare.  She started her career with Bridlewood because she loves the knowledgeable, positive, helpful people there.  Because Carmen is bilingual, she is uniquely qualified to assist a very underserviced group of people – latino seniors.

Originally from Mexico, Carmen has resided in Chula Vista, California for 50 years.  She is divorced and has two beautiful daughters and seven grandchildren.  She also has two female Yorkie terriers.  She loves going for long walks, sewing and crochet.

Agent Manager

Mark attended Radford University in 1990. He has worked in many fields since graduating, including work as a flight instructor at King Schools (1992-2003), Terminix International, and in the financial services are with JP Morgan Chase (2010-2013).  He even fished in Alaska for a summer, catching 40,000 pounds of Sockeye salmon.  Since that time he has become an experienced Medicare professional, with a high level of Medicare competency.  He joined Bridlewood, after several years as a captive agent with UnitedHealthcare, so he could offer a wide variety of the best available Medicare options in San Diego for his clients.  Mark’s previous experience with Allen James Financial and JP Morgan Chase, gave him his footing in the business of helping people.

Mark’s favorite part of being a Medicare Insurance Broker, is being able to help his clients get the plan that best helps them. He does this by EDUCATING them on their options, ASKING them what’s important to YOU, and providing them the details on the best fitting plan options, so THEY can CHOOSE what they want!

From a military family (his dad was in the Navy) who moved around a lot, Mark grew up in central California in Lemoore, spent a year and a half in Yokohama/Yokosuka Japan and then attended Radford University in Virginia, where he graduated with a business degree. Mark and his family have lived in San Diego since 1990, and he sees them often.

Mark spends free time keeping up his flying skills and also loves to golf, play beach volleyball, tennis, art, traveling, backgammon, growing cactus/succulents, helping my awesome clients and enjoying our beautiful city.

Jose has an AA in Nuclear Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing.  He used those degrees to build a thriving career in medical sales for over 40 years.  Those sales included Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Cardiac CT, Gamma Knife, Cyberknife and Linear Accelerators.  After Jose retired in 2017, he decided that a great segue would be to carry over his medical knowledge into a field where he would be able to help people with their health care concerns, and Medicare seemed to be the perfect fit for him.

He specializes in educating people about the various plans that are available to them, such as Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug and Supplement plans.   Jose started at Bridlewood in 2018 because he was looking for a client-centric, fast growing and dynamic company.  He loves helping clients find the Medicare plan that best fits their medical and financial needs.

Jose was born and raised in El Salvador, Central America, but has  been a resident of California for over 50 years.  He lives in Lake Forest with his wife of 44 years, Paty, and their two children, Jessica and Jonathan.  Jose likes to get his daily exercise by swimming, bike riding and playing pickle ball or tennis.

Leticia has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.  She has over 10 years in the insurance field, dealing with Life, Health and Medicare insurances.  Leticia loves helping people, and being certain all their needs are met.

She resides in Palmdale, California with her husband Alejandro, whom she has been married to for 44 years.  They have four adult children, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters.  Leticia is one of 12 director’s for the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and sewing.
