Sherry is a jack of all trades, and has spent several decades working in retail, and as a real estate agent. For the past several years, she has added Medicare Agent to her resume. She is proficient in Medicare Advantage plans, and DSNP plans which are designed for those people who have Medicare AND Medicaid (state assistance). Her son, Duhran, was the person who introduced her to Medicare sales, and she has really enjoyed getting to expand her horizons and help seniors with one of the most important decisions they are faced with. She originally was only selling insurance for one insurance company, but then realized that there are so many other carriers out there, and she wanted to give her clients a wide selection of plans to choose from.
Sherry has always loved helping people, especially with something as important as their insurance. Her focus is on educating her clients, and then helping them select the plan that will give them the best benefits and at the same time, save them money. With so many people living paycheck to paycheck, even a $20 per month savings can make a huge difference in their lives.
Originally born and raised in the small town of Caldwell, Kansas, she moved with her family to Iowa in 1985, and it is here that she considers “home”. Sherry hasa 3 grown children – Duhran, Zachary and Jorda – and 5 grandchildren, ranging in ages from 22 months to 14 years old. They all call her granny, and she just loves them all to pieces! Sherry loves to spend time with her family, and looks forward to her “Girls night out” with her lady friends. Her favorite pastime is to take old windows and turn them into pieces of art.

Tom and his team are also licensed to assist people with Special Needs and Dual Eligible individuals (people who have Medicare and Medicaid). The team is contracted with the top 10 Medicare insurance providers.
Tom’s reason for joining Bridlewood Insurance is because he felt that they shared the same core values of helping people understand their Medicare options, and always putting the client first. They take the role of consultants to their clients, listening to the questions and concerns, and then helping them select the most appropriate Medicare plan to meeting those needs. Tom’s favorite part of his job is helping people select the best healthcare plan for their situation, and the gratification it brings knowing he has served them well. His goal is to assist them by making sure they keep their desired doctors, clinics and hospitals, and that their healthcare and prescriptions are covered well at the lowest out-of-pocket cost.
Tom grew up in Golden Valley, which is a suburb of Minneapolis. He and his family currently live in Maple Grove, MN. He is married to a very special lady, Deanna. They have been blessed with six children and seven grandkids. He also has a cat named Goof (because he is quite a character). They enjoy family events, golfing, dining-out and traveling. Mark graduated from St. Cloud State University, with a major in business management, and a minor in marketing. He spent 30 years as a Marketing Rep for Federated Insurance. During his tenure he focused on helping businesses with their commercial and group health insurance. He recently shifted that focus to Medicare specific insurance. He specializes in helping people who are new to Medicare, although he loves working with seniors of all ages. Mark brings value to his relationships with his clients, as he not only helps them find the most appropriate plan for their needs, but he also can help them get enrolled in Medicare, so they do not have to make a trip to the Social Security office and wait in line. He decided to join Bridlewood Insurance once he saw how much support they provide to their agents, and make the Medicare experience enjoyable. Mark’s goal is to match you with a Medicare plan that you like and that fits your personal medical situation.
Mark was born and raised in Owatonna, Minnesota, and for the last 22 years he has lived in Elk River, MN. His wife, Jodi, and he are high school sweethearts who met in the 80’s, and have been married for 33 years! They have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren . . . for now. He and Jodi enjoy lake life at their cabin, as well as golf, and of course spending time with their beautiful grandkids.
Peggy graduated from Atlantic High School, and attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa. She has worked in various sales positions since 1995 – real estate, advertising, auto dealership sales, securities advisor and life & health insurance sales. In January 2014 she opened her own property and casualty insurance practice called Spartan Insurance, LLC. Peggy recently added Medicare Supplement and Advantage insurance plans to her portfolio of products she offers.
Peggy works with all the major carriers, and offers Prescription Drug plans and Special Needs Advantage plans, as well as Supplemental and regular Advantage plans. She is passionate about educating her clients on their Medicare options, and giving them all the necessary information to make a well-informed decision for their health care insurance. After spending some time working with only one carrier, she realized that she couldn’t really do the right thing for every client, without being able to offer them products from all insurance companies with plans in the area. She loves working with seniors, and realized early on that Medicare is NOT a “one size fits all” thing. Peggy keeps her clients up to date with any changes to their Medicare plans, and stays in touch with them through her monthly newsletter. She chose to work with Bridlewood because they have a client first approach, and they are really supportive of their agents with ongoing training, marketing and a great culture of honesty and integrity.
She has lived in southwest Iowa all her life, and has moved around that area several times since her childhood. Peggy has resided in Exira, Iowa (population 840!) for the past 12 years with her fiancé, Rick Thompson, who is also an agent. She and Rick have 5 children and 7 granchildren together, and look forward to more grandchildren. Their grandkids are very active in sports, so you can find them spending many evenings and weekends attending their events. Spending time with their parents, siblings, kids and grandchildren is a top priority. Peggy and Rick both love to travel, and are looking forward to doing a lot of traveling in the coming years.
Angela has held a number of jobs over the years, including being a realtor, a service coordinator and a bereavement counselor. She has a Masters of Science degree in Education.
Recently, while working for an Independent Living Facility, Angela heard about the great health insurance products available for low income seniors in her area. She could see that there was a real demand for this insurance and because the job has flexible hours and is a great way to help those in need, Angela decided to add certified Medicare Agent to her list of occupations. Her philosophy is this is an exciting time to spread the word about these great products that are available to such an underserved group of the population. Angela enjoys helping seniors find the right plan to fit their needs, and as an educator, loves sharing with them the benefits and rights, as a Medicare beneficiary.
Although Angela grew up in Milwaukee, she has also lived in Nebraska, Arizona, and has now been a resident in South Dakota for 3 years. She and her husband, Tim, have been married for 30 years. They have four adult children, and a daughter-in-law. They live on a hobby farm with a fish pond, 9 sheep, 4 chickens, 2 cats and 2 ducklings.
Kim has her Paralegal Associates Degree. She has also owned her own insurance agency, American Family Ins Agency, and has been a licensed insurance agent for over 20 years. Prior to insurance, she was a Mortgage Loan Officer and a Title Insurance Agent. Kim and her husband, Roger, started with Bridlewood Insurance in 2019. They chose to work with Bridlewood based on the way that the owners, Jeff and Kim Wetzel, aligned with their goals, both personally and professionally. We were very impressed with their support of us and their progressive advertising/marketing ideas and options.
Kim says she loves educating the Senior population and truly helping them navigate the very complicated Medicare and Medicare Supplement process. She likes being the person they know they can call and get a return phone call and their questions answered. Also knowing that most Seniors live on a fixed budget, she enjoys being able to offer products that can save them money, provide additional areas of coverage and allow for more disposable income on a monthly basis.
Kim was born and raised in Southeast Nebraska in a town of 79 people. Her entire family still lives there, while she lives in Madison, SD (just north of Sioux Falls approximately 45 miles) on Lake Madison. I have lived in South Dakota for over 25 years, with her husband Roger, who is also a Medicare Agent. Yes, they do work together and spend 24/7 with each other. Believe it or not they have worked together for about 11 years, and have been married for 9 years. Kim has 1 son that is going to school in Hamilton, Alabama and is studying to become a Minister and is also in the Army National Guard as a Military Policeman. She enjoys scrapbooking, gardening, yoga, zumba, her “Active & Ageless” exercise classes, walking, boating, jet skiing, entertaining friends & family at the lake, and 4-wheeler riding in the Blackhills of South Dakota.
Roger has several degrees, including an Associate’s degree in Agriculture from Mankato Vo-Tech, a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Real Estate from Minnesota State University. He has worked for well over a decade for Amerigroup Financial, LLC, which is an independent insurance marketing company contracted to sell a wide variety of insurance products. Roger specializes in products for Medicare beneficiaries, including Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Supplement plans.
Roger came to work at Bridlewood Insurance through a rather unusual way. He grew up in the same small town in Minnesota, as Bridlewood’s President and CEO, Jeffry Wetzel. Jeff shared with him how the Medicare business works and how it has treated him well, and so Roger decided to add those Medicare products to the portfolio of offerings for their clients. He really loves potentially saving hundreds of dollars a month for people that are on a very low, fixed income and really need his help.
Born and raised in Waterville, Minnesota, Roger moved to Phoenix, AZ after college, and then moved to Madison, South Dakota in 2012. His wife, Kim, also works with Amerigroup Financial and Bridlewood Insurance Services. Kim and Roger were married in 2012, and Kim’s son Dylan, is also a Medicare agent. The only professional sports Roger like to watch is UFC and Nascar. His favorite hobbies are flying, trail riding with their UTV, boating and anything to do with cars. He loves speed!!
Steve Cox is a licensed Insurance Broker/Agent in Colorado and Arizona. After 7 years working with only UnitedHealthCare, Steve moved to Bridlewood Insurance Services which allows him to offer products to his clients from all the insurance companies, rather than just one. He came to Bridlewood after receiving a recruiting call from the CEO, Jeff Wetzel. Steve asked around, and after multiple conversations with prior co-workers who had moved to Bridlewood, he realized that they have a fantastic reputation for agent support and customer service.
Steve also worked 36 plus years with the Aurora Police Department, and worked as a Police Detective for 24 of those years. Steve’s favorite part of his job is when a client calls him and compliments him on his attention to detail and his thoroughness when helping them select the right Medicare insurance plan. It lets him know he did the right thing for that client. As his job history indicates, Steve likes helping people. Working with Medicare insurance has allowed him to interact with Seniors, to help them understand their benefit options.
Steve has lived in Colorado since 1977 and has called Aurora, Englewood, Highlands Ranch, Denver and Castle Rock home during that time. Steve was born in Germany in 1960 when his dad was stationed at the Army base in Augsburg. Prior to moving to Colorado he went to five high schools in five different states and had moved over 20 times. Only a part of those moves were due to his being an “Army Brat”. The rest were made as his Dad moved up the corporate ladder. Steve has been married to his wife, Valerie, for 38 years. They have a 26 year old son who lives in Michigan working for a substance abuse rehabilitation center. Steve has had four Labrador Retrievers, but currently only have two little dachshunds (Auggie and Ringo). Steve and his wife love to camp, travel and spend time with family. They bowl on a league during the winter and like to play softball in the summer. Fishing and reading Louis L’Amour paperbacks while camping are his way of relaxing.
Sara is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance specialist. She has worked for a major insurance carrier as an internal Sales Agent, representing that carrier on the front line, educating people about the A, B, C and D of Medicare and their options for that carriers supplemental insurance plans. She utilizes tools to determine if they qualify for LIS/Medicaid, and if they do, she can assist them in enrolling and then help them with specific Medicare plans designed for their special needs.
After realizing that she may be shortchanging some clients who might be better served with another insurance company’s plan, Sara decided to become an Independent Agent/Broker, representing all the major insurance companies in her area. Her decision to make this shift brought her to Bridlewood Insurance, an insurance agency that is well known for their client and agent support, integrity in their business dealings, and for always putting the client’s needs and expectations first. She now helps her clients by educating them and making recommendations based on their medications, preferred physicians, and choice of Medical Group and Hospital. By thoroughly completing a “Needs Assessment”, she helps guide each client to the most appropriate plan for them based on their specific needs. She really enjoys working with retirees and the disabled community, which require certain criteria be met. She has all the necessary characteristics to work well with seniors, including patience, broad product knowledge and the desire to help. Sara communicates options to her clients, to dispell all the confusion they may have by being inundated with stacks of sales pieces from many carriers, agents and agencies. One of her favorite parts of her job is knowing that her clients will be taken care of, and knowing that she will continue to be involved with them for years to come.
Sara is a native of Colorado, being born in Aurora, but now residing in Colorado Springs. Sara in currently single and has a spunky little terrier/chihuahua mix named Harley. Her favorite pastimes include doing anything outdoors! From hiking to canoeing, she just feels that activity is extremely important. When she has downtime, she enjoys reading, writing and listening to many different genres of music.
Regional Agent Manager – Denver
Sharie has been a licensed insurance broker for over 25 years, and also holds a LPN nursing degree. She is licensed to sell insurance in Arizona, California, Michigan, Texas, and her homestate of Colorado. Sharie is a Vice President of Sales for Bridlewood Insurance, Denver, Colorado.
Sharie specializes in Medicare Advantage and Supplement insurance and has a broad background in Special Needs plans, Medicaid, and Low Income Subsidy/Extra Help prescription drug plans. Sharie loves learning everyone’s “story”, and has never met a person that she didn’t learn something new from. She appreciate the personal interaction she experiences with her Medicare clients. It gives her great satisfaction to be helpful, and she is drawn to the natural teaching aspect that is key to her job. Her philosophy is to be an attentive listener, and to always do the right thing for the customer.
Sharie was introduced to Bridlewood when a colleague of hers, who had already joined Bridlewood, would constantly share how pleased she was to be with such a great agency, and she was intrigued by how her friend felt so connected to all the Bridlewood agents and officers, like “family”. When she first met the Bridlewood team, she was very interested and appreciated their professional and compliant, but “out-of-the-box” approach to doing business. Seeing their enthusiasm, and understanding that they truly wanted to help people with their Medicare planning, she knew it would be a natural fit. Since Sharie had worked exclusively with just one insurance carrier up to that point, she realized all the benefits of joining an agency that offered many different insurance carriers which would ensure she would always be able to offer her clients the very best plan for their situation.
Sharie grew up in Michigan, and moved to Colorado in 1984. She also spent a few years living in beautiful Northern California. Sadly, Sharie’s husband of 16 years recently passed on, but she is blessed with a beautiful daughter, two step-children and three grandkids. She has two funny, little dogs a shih-tzu named Bear and a chiweenie named Roxy. She and her daughter love to travel, and do so every chance they get. She also is very involved in Sydney’s ice skating, horseback riding and of course, homework. Lots and lots of homework!!
