Michael earned his degree from Platt College for computer design. But soon found his path leading him to Medicare insurance. He has worked in the Insurance field for more than 20 years, starting as a Help Desk representative for UnitedHealthcare for 2 years, and then became an ICA (captive agent) for UnitedHealthcare for more than 8 years, while also working a full-time job as an Account Manager for Commercial Insurance. He recently left a company where he was a National Medicare Agent and had over 500 enrollments per year. Michael is licensed in eight states (CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, CO, TX and FL).
He loves his job with Bridlewood, where he can now devote more quality time and customer service to his clients. He offer Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans, along with stand alone Dental Plans. Michael came to work for Bridlewood by his friendship with Kevin Kay, when they both were captive agents with UnitedHealthcare, and Kevin was his manager. He knew Kevin was a top producer with Bridlewood, and eventually he helped Michael make the decision to strike out on his own and become an independent Medicare agent, where he could offer all of the major carrier’s plans, not just one carrier’s plans. His favorite part of his job is getting his client’s enrolled in the most suitable plan for them. He enjoys their heartfelt thanks to him for helping them get their Medicare plan taken care of, and explaining everything in a manner they can understand.
Michael is Korean-American, and came to the United States when he was 5 years old. He later served in the US Army 82nd Airborne division as a para trooper, after he became a proud citizen of the US. After having lived in Cypress and Fullerton, California, he decided to settle in Henderson, Nevada. Michael love to work out every day and tries to stay fit. He is also a huge car enthusiast, and enjoys traveling to different parts of the US and other countries. While in the Army he traveled to Panama, and has also traveled to Thailand, which was the best vacation he has ever taken. He plans on taking another trip to Thailand soon.
