Upstart Insurance Broker looking to assist you with your Medicare Needs

Brian has spent the past 20+ years working for Hennepin and Ramsey Counties as a Juvenile Correctional Officer, Correctional Officer, Case Aide, and Social Worker. During that time, he has assisted people of various backgrounds, helping them identify services that were pertinent to their specific needs. One of the more interesting parts of his job was navigating the web of services to find their specific needs and ultimately get them set up for service. Brian transitioned to an insurance broker so that he can help do the same for others as it relates to Medicare and finding a plan that meets their needs. He specializes in Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplement Plans and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans.

Brian graduated from Keller School of Management in 2009 with an MBA: Information Security and his undergraduate degree is from Minnesota State University (Mankato) where he received a BS in Corrections and a minor in Sociology (general). Brian was born and raised on the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota. Though he moved with his family when he was 16, St. Paul will always be home. Currently, Brian lives in Rosemount, MN where he has lived for the past 8 years. There have been times where he has wanted to move out of Minnesota, but he will remain there for the long haul as no other place in the world can say they’re home. Brian has been married to his wife Toyia for over 20 years. Though they don’t have children, their dog Maverick has stepped in to fulfill the role of their baby and best buddy! Maverick is best known for his loving and nurturing ways and scheming up his next mischievous adventure in an effort to get a treat.

Brian enjoys ice hockey and it’s probably one of his favorite things to watch. Though he can watch from youth all the way up to the professional leagues, he is an avid fan of the Minnesota Wild. They’ll meet Lord Stanley’s Cup, someday, right? Brian is also an art enthusiast and a sports memorabilia collector and has been doing so ever since he was a kid. Brian doesn’t collect the high-priced pieces unless they speak to him and when they do, he tries to find a way to add them to his collection

Brian has worked in government as both a Correctional Officer and a Social Worker for over 20 years. His favorite part of the job comprises of two very important things. The first is a combination of meeting people at their level and assisting them with navigating the daunting web of information so they can make an informed choice that best suits their needs. Secondly, he firmly believes in honesty and integrity. Brian believes in telling people that if he doesn’t know the answer to something he will research the answer. In addition, if he makes a mistake, he holds himself accountable and will always do what he can to ensure that he has his client’s best interests in mind. These few principles have served him well for over 20 years so he believes he must be doing something right.
