Tom has a military background, where he was as a Criminal Investigator with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division and he was stationed in Saigon, Vietnam with assignments in the Mekong Delta, Pleiku, Nha Trang and other areas throughout Vietnam. His military career started as a California National Guardsman with a unit in Sylmar, California. His unit was activated to go to Vietnam 6 months after he and his wife were married. Tom also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California (USC), and was a practicing CPA for many years with the international public accounting firm of Deloitte.
Tom has been in the insurance business since 2000 and has lived in the North San Diego Coastal area since 1971. His enjoyment and specialty is helping people with all phases of Medicare. His goal is to discover what his client’s needs are and then recommend a solution that makes sense for them. Tom searches for the most appropriate insurance company, that allows them to go to the doctors they want and get the prescriptions they need, all at a reasonable cost. Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplement Plans and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans are all available through Tom. He is also appointed with many of the most competitive Life Insurance Companies, which he can assist his clients with as well, if they are in need.
Tom and his wife were both born in Glendale, CA but didn’t meet her until they were both students at USC. She is also a former practicing CPA with Price Waterhouse.
They have 4 adult children, all of whom live in southern California. Tom is an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in La Costa, and has been a member of Rotary, a community service organization, for more than 30 years. For the last 2 and a half years he has spent a great deal of time volunteering with a retired Navy Chaplain and his ministry, that supports the Nazareth Orphanage in Tecate, Mexico. They organize 4 work trips per year to make repairs and improvements to the orphanage facilities, and they also raise money to help support the needs of the orphanage.
