Hospital Insurance (Part A)

Medicare (Part A) covers services like: doctor visits, lab tests & co-pays, as well as surgeries. Medicare (Part A) also covers supplies like: wheelchairs and walkers, or anything considered medically necessary to live daily life. If you’re in a Medicare Advantage Plan or other Medicare plan, you may have different rules, but your plan must give you at least the same coverage as Original Medicare. Some services may only be covered in certain settings or for patients with certain conditions.

Medical Insurance (Part B)

Medicare (Part B) is part of Original Medicare and covers services that are medically necessary to treat your health. It also covers part-time or intermittent home health and rehabilitative services, such as physical therapy; if they are directed by a doctor to treat your condition. As a new member to Medicare (Part B), you will be eligible for a one-time “Welcome to Medicare” physical exam. For a full list of preventive services covered under Medicare (Part B), contact your Bridlewood agent. By law, Medicare Advantage plans must offer at least the same level of coverage as Original Medicare, and some plans include additional coverage not included in Original Medicare.
